In their simplest forms residential, commercial, safety & decorative window films are composed of a polyester substrate to which a special scratch resistant coating is applied on one side, with a mounting adhesive layer and a protective release liner applied to the other side. When the release liner is removed, that side of the film with the adhesive is applied to the interior surface of the glass. See our Photos & Hints section to see the basics of window film installation.

Window film is an amazing product packed with numerous consumer benefits. All types and varieties of window film exhibit these important primary product features:

  • Solar heat control
  • Glare control
  • Ultraviolet radiation control
  • Improved protection from shattering glass

Go to our step-by-step procedure to help pick your film or choose to submit a questionnaire for a suggestion on film types.

Make sure you are applying this product to glass and not a polycarbonate such as plexi-glass or lexan.
