Our skylight covers are custom designed, not prefabricated. No Refunds. There are two types of heat reduction material, 70% and 90%, that will help control the unwanted elements, but can be removed to allow heat gain in the winter time. The covers are available in brown, gray, white, black, burgundy, desert tan, terra cotta, and green.

Click here for a printable skylight measurement worksheet.

We will send you samples of the actual cover material. Just use the sample request form below for this section. If you would like a free estimate, fill in the 'comments' section of the sample request form with the dimensions A, B, & C from the worksheet.

The cost of a 70% cover is $7.85 per sq foot, and the 90% is $9.75 per sq ft. Since the covers are custom designed for your skylight, pre-payment is required. There is a $125 minimum for any one skylight cover. Allow 3-5 weeks for delivery.
There is a custom pricing requirement if either the total length (length + 2 times the lip) or total width (width + 2 times the lip) is more than 56 inches. Use the free estimate option below to find out what the price will be for this situation.

Key Benefits:
  • Reduces unwanted heat gain
  • Reduces ultraviolet radiation
  • Reduces glare problems
  • Reduces fading of furnishings
  • Maintenance free
  • Removable

In the store, you will be asked to:

(1) Choose the cover color
(2) Choose the skylight type
(3) Input the A, B, C dimensions in the text box from the worksheet
(4) Enter the number of covers with this size
(5) Input the total square feet of all the covers this size,
rounded down to the nearest integer (12.7 = 12), into the 'quantity' box.

Calculating the square footage for the cover is simply adding the length + 2 times the lip :
L = A+(2xC) and the width + 2 times the lip : W = B+(2xC), multiply these two numbers, L x W then divide by 144 : (L x W) / 144
Example: A=34" B=42" C=2" (from the worksheet)
The total square footage would be (34 + (2x2)) x (42 + (2x2)) = (38 x 46) / 144 = 12.14 (rounded down would be 12)
This amount multiplied by the number of covers this size will be put into the 'quantity' when ordering from the store.
