on your football page, I see you have a Brian Bosworth photo. Would you be willing to sell me a 8X10 (or a 11X14) of this particular photo. I found your site by accident and this photo is the best I've found so far. Thanks.

The site is shot through with that great 'Tommy' energy and has this unusual feel of being "for others". You've always done that well no matter what you are doing or who you are with. It's a remarkable gift and gives great color to your own story.

Hello uncle Tombet,

I have been to your page many times but at looking at your comment page never left you a comment of my own. I really like your page, very educational and inspiring. I love the pictures you take of the city. I love the city. I think you are a very talented photographer. I've always wanted to be able to take pictures like yours...I try but they don't come out as nice, especially since I've been using nothing but my dad's digital camera. when I go to SF state in fall, I think I'm going to take photo classes. Hopefully my schedule won't be too hard so that I would be able to take a class. We'll see I guess. So I think that's it for now. See you for Cat's bday on Sunday. And happy anniversary! ha, ha.

Outstanding.... Your writings on Dimakya Island put my mind at rest for my upcoming trip... beautifully done...

(teb reply: Thanks for your kind words. My experience there is one of my most memorable adventure trip. I am in no way affiliated with the resort, but If the management and staff of Club Paradise Resort is the same - if not more improved - as when I visited, I can assure you that you will be pampered and that you will enjoy your stay. I am envious that you will be going to a place that I yearn to re-visit but will not likely get to do for some time. Enjoy the ambiance, the environment, the food, and the bliss. You will be pampered. And, don't miss the scuba experience, even if you are new to the sport. Say hello to Dirk - my scuba instructor - for me.)

Tom, your pictures are beautiful! And I am very thankful for the videos of Round Three Fight in action. I have met all band members via internet, and they are awesome! Especially Mike! He's become a great friend, and its a lot of fun to see him performing on stage, especially since I live so far away and it will be awhile before I get to see them in person. Anyways, GREAT site... Hi Kuya Tombet & Catherine,

Rodney, Evyn J., and I extend our sincerest congratulations to both of you on your beautiful baby girl, Sophie Gabriela. We were so surprised and happy, of course, that there is finally baby girl Bombon in the family - way to go! Sorry for the delay in responding to your message; we are busy with work, activities, and not to mention, Evyn Joseph. We celebrated his 2-year birthday on May 31 and he is hyper, energetic, and spoiled-rotten. He cannot wait to play with cousin Sophie, someday. Everybody is doing well here in Atlanta, Georgia. Well, give our love & regards to all the cousins there, especially the boys!

Hope to see y'all again, soon - maybe in October of 2005 when Angel will marry Warren in New Jersey (we'll see you there)!

Take care & congrats,

Rodney, Evelyn, and Evyn Joseph Barron

Beautiful images... they bring me back to many wonderful and soul touching times that I have traveled to the Philippines. I am married to a wonderful lady from Cebu.

What touches my heart the most are the faces of children from there, though poor by "our" standards the smiles are so real, the family so close... they are much "richer" than we.

I tried your Bicol Express Recipe and it was far too salty! Too much "bagoong" according to my friends who are in the know.

joe_genduso@yahoo.com

(teb reply: Hey Joe! I am sorry the recipe did not turn out good the first time you tried. Trust me, nothing ever usually go well the first time (wink!). I did suggest to experiment. My reason: in my last visit to a local Asian food market, I was confronted with choosing from at least 20 + brands of bagoong (with various level of saltiness and taste and brine). Bagoong recipes varies. Also, I presume you are using the B. E. dish as a condiment and not a main dish right? It is supposed to be salty and spicy. So, use sparingly.

(teb reply: Hi Terador,  Your candid comments are much appreciated.  I don't use (MacroMedia) Flash because I am cognizant that some visitors access the site with slower bandwidth than what is preferred. Thus, I stay away from it and use other tricks. I do use animated Gifs, some Javascripts, and standard video format such as wmv. Most photo files are Jpg format to reduce file sizes. My Information page provides the ideal configurations. However, I am trying to be sensitive to web surfers who currently have "older transport" options.)

It was a lot of fun talking with you. Today (Monday) is my day off from work, so this is about the only time I get to attend to my personal stuff.

You promised to send me the large version of the picture you have on the background of the desktop of your laptop. If it wont be too much trouble, please e-mail it to: wsoyinka@hotmail.com. If it is an extremely large file you could mail it to ruskas@yahoo.com.

I hope it is okay to share the URL of your website and some of the pictures therein with my family. Maybe it will inspire some of them to want to visit our home land (Africa) too.

Take care and have a good week ahead.

Hi Tommy,

I came across your website whilst surfing through the buhi.com site - reading people's comments from the guestbook. Just wanted to say your photos are cool! Especially the ones taken from Buhi. My parents come from Buhi, I have been to Lake Buhi Resort whilst it was still being built a few years ago (the owner is actually an uncle of mine...)

I have been living here in Australia for about 25 years now, migrated in 1977... I'm planning a trip back to the Philippines at the end of the year and hopefully be able to visit my relatives in Buhi, Bicol.

Thank you for showing us these wonderful photos taken from your trips... of the Philippines especially.

Keep up the great work!

... The website you have is quite impressive, it's not the usual picture people will remember, let alone put them on the website.  The view you have of Bohol is disarming for me since you take the time out to feel and see what a countryside (is) and how the people still go on with their lives here.  Yes, we're quite simple people with not a complicated lifestyle, we have our simple pleasures and wholesome fun.

Thanks for seeing this side of us.  I haven't seen yet your pictures in the others tours you had, downloading system in Bohol takes a long time... but I'm sure gonna visit your site again.

I told the old woman (the one who weaves the nipa that she has a picture on the net... she smiles but I know she couldn't fully understand it yet, not until I gave her a printout of the picture you have of her.  I promised to give her one.  She gets a lot of pictures from tourists, you know, but she has yet to receive one from them.

Tommy,

Wow!!!  I didn't know you are that good, I mean your articles and photos of the Philippines. Your article about your dad is very touching...

I also liked the pictures of the flowers, volcano and those old ladies...

p.s. I like your short hair too.  Did you just cut it before you went home?

Tommy,

Thank you for sharing this beautiful experience of yours, very nostalgic. It is a professional job and a big improvement from your previous website.  I am looking forward to see more of it (i.e., your additions and improvements).  Did your boys come with you?  If not, you should take them before it is too late.  Good luck in your endeavor as a photographer.

Snazzy web site! A little slow on the download, but maybe that's because I'm accessing it long distance.

Tommy,

Marilyn and I loved your site. We think you've done a great job, particularly with the super photos of the P.I.
