Livermore Valley, CA
| Work based for 30 years in the lovely city of San
Francisco can spoil you. It is one of the loveliest city I've ever
seen. But a change of scenery was upon me when I stumble upon an
opportunity to do IT work at a high tech manufacturing firm in
Livermore, California. Each work morning, instead of heading
west, either by a BART train ride or a 60 miles drive to the city, I
began heading east... towards the windmills at Altamont Pass.
In time, I began to adapt and appreciate the views I see, the
expansiveness, the potentials of the valley. And I am
captivated by what it has and what it could be. There is room here
for growth. The beauty of nature, country mixed with modernity
and high technology. From what you will see, this dynamic
California area is undergoing an evolution than perhaps would be of
envy by its
kins... Silicon Valley, Napa or Sonoma.
This page will showcase sights of Livermore Valley, which includes Pleasanton, Livermore, and my home base of Dublin. At I-580 East while en route to work, I see a sign that says, "Welcome to Livermore Wine County." I welcome you to my eye's journey to its views. Enjoy! |

Windmills at Altamont Pass at the eastern end of the valley mesmerize me. I think of romantic adventures by Don Quixote... but hundreds times multiplied. |

At the edge of downtown Livermore is Casa Orozco, now one of my favorite restaurants. Besides the lovely ambiance, service, and good Mexican cuisine, they serve the best margaritas I've ever had. |

Situated in Wente's family estate vineyards is a Greg Norman designed championship golf course, one of the most beautiful and challenging in the wine country. I felt terrible when I played here as I suck in golf. |
