Photos from a quick tour of Seoul thanks to Asiana Airlines. Is there any other reason why it was voted the best airlines in 2008 and 2009?

My 1st impressions of So. Korea:
  • Seoul is very, very clean. As I toured, I was wondering why can't Manila emulate this? I did not see any old belching vehicles (no jeepneys) to pollute the air!
  • They sure know how to integrate and blend cultural tradition and modernity.
  • They are kicking ass with technology and consumer products, competing and perhaps beating even Japan. No wonder I find that I have a Samsung 67" HDTV, a Samsung Quad Ref, and a Samsung Front load Washer and Dryer through the years.
  • Very respectful and self disciplined people. And friendly too (I even got the guards at the Blue House to smile for me on camera).
  • Beautiful Korean babes I spotted along the way.
  • Very colorful history.
  • I loved the Buddhist Temple I visited.  My brother (who was based there for a few years with the USAF) says there are more impressive ones besides this.
  • It is amazing how they built the Incheon Airport... a huge man-made island rising from reclaimed sea.
  • I love the Hyundai Genesis, I want one!

I think S. Korea has got it together and thus gets  my 5 Bombons rating.
