Saigon City

has now closed. Chef Bui has now opened a much bigger restaurant in Solano Avenue, aptly named "Bui's"

(was) Located in Berkeley's Telegraph Avenue, Saigon City is a small, romantic restaurant where my pare, chef-owner Patrick Bui serves Vietnamese culinary fare -- from basic pho (noodle soup bowls) to the traditional Viet entrees.  However, what many regulars return for are the Saigon City Specials he personally prepares and creates for you.  Patrick incorporates fusion entrees showcasing his California Culinary Academy credentials and his passion to satisfy and pamper every one of his clientele.

For after dinner pièce de résistance, you must try Patrick's Tiramisu... claimed by many to be the "best ever tiramisu they have ever had -- EVER!"

This charming, warm, and friendly establishment is definitely a  Berkeley gem for a reasonably-priced, fine dining experience.

Check it out before the place becomes crowded. While there, ask for my paintings.
